ADD ON IF ANY MISSING

After a dog wins his championship, without losing, he can then become a Grand Champion by winning two additional matches, again without losing. A Grand Champion cannot lose a match and remain a Grand Champion. A dog can win ten or even more matches but if he loses once he would revert back to a Champion. There is one exception to this rule: If a dog loses because his handler fouls out, he can still be considered for a Grand Championship if it can be ascertained that, had his handler not fouled out, the dog would have won that particular match.

Here again, as with Champions, all Grand Champions are not created equal. Some are downright aces, dogs that come along once in a life tine. Some others are outstanding match dogs that have done anything and everything that was ever asked of them. Some few are Grand Champions by virture of having hit a soft spot or two, but, here again, they did what was asked of then and while their competition might have been top of the line, they did what they were supposed to do...WIN. Winning five times without a loss is never an easy task even when the competition was not all ace match dogs.

There is one other title that a dog and owner can aspire to and that is DOUBLE GRAND CHAMPION. Only one dog has earned that title since we started keeping records in 1972. Ken and The "A" Team's Double Grand Champion TORNADO, a 10 time winner and everyone of them against top of the line conpetition. An outstanding match bitch whose like may never be seen again.
